In the Arms of His Love

While standing in my daughter's viewing line, a friend handed me this painting. She explained it was from her neighbor named Michele, someone I had never met before. On the back, I found a card that explained that while Michele was in a store, she felt a strong prompting to buy this painting, feeling like someone would need it. Weeks later, she learned that our daughter had drowned in a canal, and she immediately knew the painting was for us. ⠀

I remember looking at the painting, and being overcome with a strong feeling of hope. The baby symbolized to me that one day I would be blessed to be a mom again. Seven years and four kids later, this painting still hangs in my home and holds a special place in my heart. I'm grateful Michele listened and acted on that prompting because she gave me hope in my darkest hour.
